MonoDevelop now on the Mac
Several months ago I had tried mono on my MacBook, and although the command line compiler worked, the IDE (a port of SharpDevelop) was not up to par as it required installing all kinds of libraries which I was never able to get them all loaded properly and functioning, so I gave up for the meantime.
Yesterday a new .NET Rocks podcast came out (show 313), and Miquel was talking all about Mono on the Mac. I could have sworn he said that MonoDevelop still didn't work on the Mac, but I went and downloaded the mag DMG and lo and behold it has a running version of MonoDevelop!
Here's what it looks like when it opens up:
And here it is with a "trivial" program (the canonical "Hello World" app), but enough to show that this works:
I'll post some more once I do some development to let everyone know what I think.
